Jayne Hover

Jayne Hover is a veteran educator and literacy consultant with more than 30 years of experience as a teacher and administrator across elementary, middle, and high school levels. She has focused her career on helping students build confidence in their writing and has played a key role in significantly improving scores on state-mandated writing tests, making her a sought-after partner for school districts aiming to strengthen writing instruction.

Hover is the co-author of several influential professional resources for teachers, including Crunchtime: Lessons to Help Students Blow the Roof Off Writing Tests—and Become Better Writers in the Process (Heinemann, 2009), Text Structures From Nursery Rhymes: Teaching Reading and Writing to Young Children (Corwin, 2018), and Text Structures and Fables: Teaching Students to Write About What They Read, Grades 3–12 (Corwin, 2022/2023), all developed with colleagues Gretchen Bernabei and others.
