Jeni Gotto
Dr. Jeni Gotto, EdD, is the superintendent of Westminster Public Schools in Colorado and an educational leader with over 25 years of experience in K–12 education. She has worked in Westminster Public Schools since 2008, serving in roles including deputy superintendent before being unanimously selected by the Board of Education in 2023 to become superintendent, a position she assumed in July 2024. Gotto holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Chadron State College and both a Master of Arts and a Doctor of Education in Leadership for Educational Equity from the University of Colorado.
Gotto is recognized internationally for her work in competency-based education, leading one of the largest district-wide PK–12 implementations of a competency-based learning model in the United States. She is the author of Test-Specific Thinking: Teaching Students to Think the Way Tests Make Them, and has contributed to other works on personalized and competency-based education, including a multi-author volume on competency-based education and the book Pioneers of Personalized Education.
