Jennifer Jump

Jennifer Jump, M.A., is an educator and literacy leader with more than twenty years of experience in roles dedicated to improving student achievement, including work as a literacy specialist and director of literacy for Rockford Public Schools and District of Columbia Public Schools. She serves as an Academic Officer for Teacher Created Materials, providing professional development and training on curriculum materials and professional resources for school districts, teachers, and instructional trainers. She holds a Master of Arts degree in English Language and Literature from the College of Charleston.

Jump is the coauthor of several titles in the What the Science of Reading Says series, including What the Science of Reading Says about Reading Comprehension and Content Knowledge, What the Science of Reading Says about Word Recognition, and What the Science of Reading Says about Writing. In these works, she focuses on translating current research on the science of reading into practical, classroom-ready guidance to support word recognition, reading comprehension, content knowledge, and writing instruction for educators.
