Julie Cline
Julie Cline is a middle school mathematics educator and co-author of Lesson Imaging in Math and Science: Anticipating Student Ideas and Questions for Deeper STEM Learning (ASCD, 2016). She has taught middle school mathematics for more than two decades, and has co-authored work that promotes inquiry-based STEM instruction through the practice of “lesson imaging,” in collaboration with Michelle Stephan, David Pugalee, and Chris Cline.
Cline earned a bachelor’s degree in education from Wingate University in North Carolina and later achieved National Board Certification in Mathematics/Early Adolescence. In addition to her classroom teaching, she has presented mathematics content at the school and district levels and has presented on lesson imaging and math instruction at ASCD and NCTM conferences.
