Kami Thordarson

Kami Thordarson is an educator, administrator, and author known for her work advancing design thinking in K–12 education. She has served in multiple roles as a public educator, including classroom teacher, professional development designer, and curriculum designer, and has led district efforts in technology integration and personalized learning. She has also been described as a principal and school designer at the Campbell School of Innovation, where she engages students and teachers in learning experiences focused on authenticity and relevance.

A champion of the design thinking movement in schools, Thordarson coauthored Design Thinking for School Leaders: Five Roles and Mindsets That Ignite Positive Change and Design Thinking in Play: An Action Guide for Educators, both published by ASCD, with collaborator Alyssa Gallagher.
