Kathleen Kopp, M.S.Ed., is an experienced elementary educator and curriculum specialist who taught in elementary schools for over 32 years, serving as a classroom teacher, teacher on special assignment, and curriculum specialist. She presents at local, state, and national conferences for educators and develops instructional materials, earning recognition such as a Learning Magazine Teachers’ Choice Award and the Distinguished Achievement Award from the Association of Educational Publishers.
In addition to coauthoring What the Science of Reading Says about Reading Comprehension and Content Knowledge, Kopp has written or co-written multiple professional resources for teachers, including titles such as Teaching Social Studies Today and science education materials that support inquiry-based and literacy-rich instruction in K–12 classrooms.
