Monica Fedeli

Monica Fedeli is a Professor of Teaching and Learning Methods and Organizational Development at the University of Padova (Italy), where she also serves as Vice-Rector/Vice President for Outreach and Relations with the Territory. She is an expert in adult education and learning, with research interests that include organizational and faculty development, human resource management, work-related teaching and learning, transformative learning, organizational coaching, and gender equity. Fedeli has been a Fulbright Scholar at the University of Georgia and has held visiting and adjunct appointments at institutions including Michigan State University, Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg, University of California, Berkeley School of Education, and Boston University.

Fedeli is co-author of Adult Learning: Linking Theory and Practice (2nd edition), published by Jossey-Bass in 2025, alongside Laura L. Bierema and Sharan B. Merriam. She has also co-edited Connecting Adult Learning and Knowledge Management: Strategies for Learning and Change in Higher Education and Organizations, which explores links between adult learning and knowledge management in educational and organizational contexts. Over her career, she has published more than 160 national and international articles, books, and book chapters in the fields of adult learning and organizational development.
