Reva Kasman
Reva Kasman is a Professor of Mathematics at Salem State University and has been at the university since 2007. Her scholarly work focuses on mathematical thinking in the classroom, especially at the K–8 level, including research with elementary school teachers and professional development for Bridge to Enter Advanced Mathematics (BEAM).
Kasman coauthored But Why Does It Work?: Mathematical Argument in the Elementary Classroom with Susan Jo Russell, Deborah Schifter, Virginia Bastable, and Traci Higgins. A Salem State University faculty profile states that she earned her Ph.D. in Pure Mathematics in 2002 from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
