Thomasenia Lott Adams
Thomasenia Lott Adams, PhD, is a professor of mathematics education and associate dean for research and faculty development in the College of Education at the University of Florida. Her work centers on teaching and learning mathematics, with a career that has included teaching undergraduate mathematics, preparing teachers at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and serving as a mathematics coach in elementary, middle, and secondary settings.
Adams is a coauthor of the Making Sense of Mathematics for Teaching series from Solution Tree, including Making Sense of Mathematics for Teaching Grades K–2 and Making Sense of Mathematics for Teaching Grades 3–5 (How Mathematics Progresses Within and Across Grades). She earned a B.S. in mathematics from South Carolina State College, along with an M.Ed. and Ph.D. in curriculum and instruction with an emphasis in mathematics education from the University of Florida.
