Toby Boss

Toby Boss, EdD, is an education expert with over 40 years of experience in the field, including 22 years as a classroom teacher before serving as a district administrator and later as a professional development consultant at a regional service agency. As a High Reliability Schools associate with Marzano Resources, he works directly with schools to design and support systems of continuous improvement through coaching and implementation of the High Reliability Schools framework.

He is a contributing author to Professional Learning Communities at Work® and High Reliability SchoolsTM: Cultures of Continuous Learning, an anthology that merges the PLC at Work® process with the High Reliability Schools model to help educators build cultures of continuous improvement and ensure a viable and guaranteed curriculum. In this volume, Boss authors Chapter 3, “Six Steps for Effective Teaching in Every Classroom,” focusing on practical strategies for consistent, high-quality instruction.
