Tonia Gibson
Tonia Gibson is a senior consultant at McREL International, where she works with schools, districts, and education ministries to strengthen professional practice through research-based coaching, professional learning, and strategic guidance. She earned a master’s degree in school leadership from the University of Melbourne and a bachelor’s degree in primary/adult learning from RMIT, and she has more than 25 years of experience as a classroom teacher and school leader in Australia.
Gibson began her career teaching primary grades in Melbourne and later served as a teacher and assistant principal at primary schools there. She is a co-author of Learning That Sticks: A Brain-Based Model for K–12 Instructional Design and Delivery, The New Classroom Instruction That Works, and Unstuck: How Curiosity, Peer Coaching, and Teaming Can Change Your School.
