Reaching and Teaching Kids Who Don’t Fit in the Box: Making School Work for Every Student

Pete Hall is an award‑winning school principal, retired educator, and educational leadership consultant whose work focuses on building educator capacity, reflective practice, and trauma‑invested, resilience‑oriented schooling. He has worked in education for about 30 years, beginning as a classroom teacher in grades preK–8 across three states, and later serving for 12 years as principal at three Title I schools: Anderson Elementary in Reno, Nevada, and Sheridan Elementary and Shaw Middle School in Spokane, Washington, where his leadership contributed to recognized gains in academic performance, growth, and student achievement.

Hall is the author or co‑author of multiple professional books for educators, including Creating a Culture of Reflective Practice: Building Capacity for Schoolwide Success (with Alisa Simeral), Fostering Resilient Learners: Strategies for Creating a Trauma‑Sensitive Classroom, Relationship, Responsibility, and Regulation: Trauma‑Invested Practices for Fostering Resilient Learners, and The Fostering Resilience Workbook: Strategies and Steps to Support Our Learners, Elementary Edition (with Kristin Souers and Keith Orchard).
